Chey Supa Sunday - Eight Mile Plains, 21st July 2013

Chevy Super Sunday at the 8 Mile Plains State School is an annual event each July, that brings together a great selection of Chevrolet powered vehicles.  About 15 Corvettes attended, most were QCC members.  The day turned out to be perfect, but I think that with the rains of the previous days some people stayed away thinking the grounds would be too muddy.  The lower field was a bit soggy, but the school allowed quite a few cars to park there.

Congratulations to QCC member Ian Fitzgerald who picked up two trophies on the day:  “Top Corvette”  and “Best Convertible.”  It was worthwhile spending hours polishing the Vette, Ian.  The “Best convertible” is an interesting trophy:  Ian’s Corvette is a Targa Top C4 Coupe and the T Top just happened to be off on the day!!

While the Show 'n' Shine finished right on 1pm, many of the cars actually started leaving by 11.  I put this down to a lack of activities for visitors and entrants to enjoy once they've finished looking at the great variety of cars on display.

A good turn out from QCC members, particularly given the amount of rain we received in the days prior.
