 NAPA Twilight Show
  27. May 2018

WW met at McDonalds for the trip to the show as a group, with some of our members meeting us there.
Eleven Corvettes from our club came. After being told where to park, and then polishing our Vettes to within an inch of their life,
[well thatís me Iím talking about, I donít think our members are as crazy as me]
We got our chairs out and some of us who were clever enough to remember to bring nibbles,
we sat down to spend an evening of car talk and whatever else we spoke about.
Glenn and my-self had to leave the gang to it, while we did some sponsorship seeking for our nationalís.
With a few interested companies and with details for me to send brochures, our work was done.
We went back to the gang, and I asked if anyone had seen my husband, who was nowhere to be found?
I eventually found him talking to complete strangers about car stuff. [I think Craig could talk underwater] I never saw him for the whole night.
There was so many great looking cars there to be judged, I think it would have been impossible for the judges to come to a decision.
The night became a very long night with many of us wishing the Trophy presentation would start so we could all go home.
Finally Trophy presentation starts, and with much fanfare and flames coming out of NAPAíS roof and fireworks galore, it was finally time to tell us the winners.
We were lucky enough to have two of our Corvettes take home a Trophy. Not bad from only eleven Corvettes.
Reg Vine won one of the Top Ten Trophies, and Bryan Wharton took Top American Muscle Car Trophy.
We were now allowed to leave, I can tell you I have never seen such a mass exodus from so many good looking cars all jostling to leave at once.
Was a good night, but just a bit too long for a Sunday Evening.
Cheers Elaine.
