 Corvettes Downunder Classic Car Show
  29. July 2018

It was a very foggy Sunday morning when we gathered together at Macca's for the cruise to Clontaft and the Down Under Annual Show.
We called into Nudgee Shell on the way through and picked up two more vettes before heading off.
The new Redcliff turnoff caused a bit of confusion but we all made it there safely.
A few of our club members had already arrived early to get prime position but the parking was very well organised and everybody
went about cleaning off the road grime and making their pride and joys look their best.
Jim Carol and Bob polished their beauties to within an inch of their lives but the end result was well worth it.
There were plenty of food vans and the coffee van was very popular and the local Radio station was doing an outside broadcast all day.
The array of magnificent Corvettes was fantastic with lots to look at and drool over
I personally met a guy from Yapoon who had seen my car on the net and had the same year so we swapped stories of our adventures and disasters.
At the end of the day the trophies were handed out and our club excelled with Eleven prizes and Reg Vine taking out two.
All in all a very successful and well run event making it a very enjoyable day
