Grumpys Diner Lunch Cruise
What better way to spend our second Queensland Corvette Club outing than heading out on a beautiful drive and wrapping it up at Grumpy’s?
From the moment Mark and I joined the club, we’ve felt genuinely welcomed and this run only confirmed we’re in the right place.
Meeting everyone at the start set the tone: a great group of people and an impressive lineup of Corvettes gleaming in the morning light.
The drive itself was smooth and steady, giving us time to take in the scenery and enjoy being part of something special.
But the moment that truly gave us goosebumps? Driving through the tunnels. The collective rumble of all those Corvette engines echoing off the walls was absolutely electric. It rattled right through us a full-body thrill!
We were still buzzing from that thunderous roar for a good hour afterward. It was unforgettable.
Grumpy’s was the perfect destination to finish off the drive. The family-run team had everything ready and waiting, and their warm hospitality really stood out, especially impressive given they’d just celebrated their one-year anniversary the day before! They even captured group photos for us and served up delicious food, right on time.
And to top it all off, each driver was gifted a sleek black box containing a key ring, a generous gesture that made the occasion feel even more special and appreciated.
It was a thoughtful surprise and a perfect keepsake to remember the day.
As newcomers, Mark and I couldn’t feel more grateful. The warmth, kindness, and genuine friendship within the group have made us feel instantly at home. We love the cars, but even more, we love the people.
Here’s to many more adventures with the Queensland Corvette Club.
Thanks
Connie Howard
